About this module

This module will help you to determine whether you should be paying payroll tax in NSW and should register with the NSW Office of State Revenue.

When you have finished this module you should have an understanding of all the components which need to be considered.

This is an introductory module only. It will not provide you will all the knowledge and skills to calculate your actual payroll tax liability. You may need to complete some or all of the other payroll tax modules.

Target audience

This module is designed for:

• employers registered for payroll tax who are want to confirm that they are including all necessary components when calculating their liable wages
• employers who are not currently paying payroll tax in NSW and are not registered with the NSW Office of State Revenue and who want to check if they have a payroll tax liability.
